WHAT IF YOU COULD JUST RANGE-AIM-SHOOT
Mission
Our company resolved to create a precision instrument that would provide the best ranging and aiming solutions all in one device. The objective was to make a quality product and a more efficient system by which a shooter could acquire a target range, automatically receive a target marker for that range and thereby quickly and efficiently take the shot. Thus resulting in a more precise shot for target shooters and a more ethical shot for hunters!

RANGE
Ranging is very important in order for the shooter to know the distance to a particular target. Various ways to get a distance to a target are determined by estimating, pre-measuring, using a bracketing system for a certain distance and finally the more recent use of a laser range finding device. Hand held rangefinders are allowed for determining accurate distances to your intended target, but more movement and time is required. Having a rangefinder and bow sight combined into one unit helps to eliminate unnecessary movement and gives the shooter an accurate marker for the intended target.

AIM
Aiming the arrow requires certain techniques and unless you are shooting instinct, the shooter will have some type of target marker system on their bow. These markers can be in the form of pins, lighted LED’s, dots and crosshairs. All are set in a certain position by the shooter and each represents a marker to be used when sighted in on a target at different ranges. Do to the limited number of pins on a sight, these markers are usually 3 - 5 different ranges pre-set by the shooter. Our goal was to create a bow sight that would have markers for each yard within a shooters calibrated range.

SHOOT
Shooting the arrow requires that the shooter release the bow string held in his anchored position allowing the arrow to fly toward the intended target. The steps required to get to this step have generally taken hours of preparation and practice. The results of where the shooter places the arrow within the target are explained by several principles that include knowing the distance to the target and having the correct marker for that distance. Two issues that cause a shooter to miss a target are incorrectly estimating the distance to the target and movement prior to the shot that are spotted by the target. Having the correct distance with very little movement and a marker for that distance allows the shooter to make a more ethical shot.
